Brett Favre is a very famous and successful football quarterback who use to play for the Green Bay (Wisconsin) Packers. He retired last spring then changed his mind and, after a prolonged bit of drama that was over-covered by the local media, he now plays for the New York Jets. Some Packer fans are taking his departure hard.

You wouldn't believe the hoopla here. I think they might have given him the keys to the city. all this for a team that only pretends to play in NY. (The stadium's in NJ.)
Ah, ok. I recognize the name nowm. I don't really follow football so I didn't place the name immediately, but I remember hearing there was some fuss over him retiring and then changing his mind. I don't see what the big deal is, don't those sports guys go in and out of retirement all the time?
